We
have many reasons to be proud of the hard working, dedicated employees of Velocity
Partners LLC including their big hearts. Throughout 2016 VP made monthly donations to
Hopelink, a charitable organization that works toward ending poverty in the
greater Puget Sound area. It was also the
charity our company chose to be the recipient of a special Christmas
donation.
In
addition to the firm’s support, our U.S. employees got involved in a big way by
raising money as well as purchasing donations that were targeted for area
teenagers. Items included Seahawks gear,
ear phones, yoga mats and other sports items.
Our generous employees ended up donating more than $1,000 worth of goods
that were delivered to Hopelink in time for the Christmas celebration. We also had several employees attend the
Hopelink annual luncheon where they made further donations that were matched by
Velocity Partners. All total we raised $5,000 for Hopelink.
For
a little background on the organization, Hopelink was started in 1971 on the vision
of a community free of poverty. It is
the largest social service agency in north and east King County and serves
homeless and low-income families, children, seniors and people with
disabilities. Their goal is to provide stability
and help so that people can gain the skills and knowledge they need to become
self-sufficient. Each year Hopelink’s
services reach about 64,000 people.
