VP Welcomes a New Member of Our Team

Velocity Partners offshore software development company is pleased to announce that Bill DeVoe will join our team on a full-time basis as our Principle Agile Evangelist and will take over many of the tasks that Bob Galen has been doing.  His focus will include our Nearshore Operations in addition to assisting the Sales and Marketing team.  

Bill’s career of almost 25 years started in software development with writing Windows applications in the early 90s.  His first introduction to Agile was in 2000 in the form of eXtreme Programming and he hasn’t looked back since.  Ever since Bill has enthusiastically introduced Agile or assisted in a transformation that was already underway at every organization he has been a part of.   

Bill’s background also includes coaching teams, management and executives on implementing Agile frameworks for large-scale projects and systems.  He has extensive experience working with distributed teams, and most recently he helped several large organizations to develop a Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe). 

Velocity Partners will benefit from Bill’s expertise as he brings his distributed team and Agile expertise to assist us in our continuing efforts to deliver quality services that utilize: Scrum, eXtreme Programming, Kanban, or a scaled framework like SAFe or LeSS.   Furthermore, he likes the fact that our company employs a nearshore delivery system as he feels it helps to eliminate some of the inherent difficulties in traditional off-shore delivery models.  We know his expertise in Management 3.0 techniques and his years working with distributed teams from an Agile perspective will help us continue to deliver optimal quality for our clients.
